He was 3 weeks old when he came to see me and did wonderful!

Kane ~ Children’s photography

I met Kane and his mom for the first time last week, she had three requests, him with his bible, with his tractor (that he drives himself), and him in the rice fields. I think we got that and then some. He did awesome, even though his mom said it took a little “bribe” to […]

I think we got that and then some. He did awesome, even though his mom said it took a little “bribe” to get him to agree to photos. In getting ready for his session I was thinking about what I wanted to do, I had on flip flops and changed them into my nikes since we would be walking through the rice field, I thought there could be snakes in there. Well as we were walking out to where I wanted to go, Kane yells “snake”, me and his mom both jumped and did a double take as he was laughing at us the whole time!

Sawyer ~ Newborn photography

August 6th, 2012

Sawyer was such a tiny little girl, that was a dream to photograph. Once she got into her deep sleep I could do what ever I wanted with her. She has the prettiest little lips and such long eyelashes. I had to get some close ups to show them off.

These little girls live in Seattle and were here visiting family and booked a session with me. Well we have had lots and lots of rain this summer and of course the day of their session a huge storm looked like it was about to move in. We moved their session up earlier in the day to try to beat it, you can see the sprinkles in some of the photos.

Sorry for the wait guys, shouldn’t be much longer now and I’ll have them all finished up!

Miss Layla ~ Kinder, La newborn photography

July 17th, 2012

So excited that I finally had a baby girl to photograph with all of my pretty new fabric. I’ve had this for months and had only little boys to photograph. I photographed Layla’s big brother a few months ago. I look forward to watching her grow and meeting the rest of the family.

Whew it’s been so long since I have taken the time to blog anything, I almost didn’t remember my sign in information. I figured I better post or some may think I’m no longer in business! I am still here, doing only a session or two here or there during the summer. We are spending most of our time this summer on the softball field and in the pool when we can. Both of my girls are playing and loving it. I will return to a regular schedule once they start school in the fall.

Miss Alice and her parents came to see me after many reschedules due to the weather. But we finally had a pretty day that wasn’t too crazy hot. I love watching these sweet babies grow up.

And Alice 9 months ago…

Loved spending time with this bunch Liam, Jack, Matilda, Matthew, & Max. Oh and Elaine and Jason! They drove all the way from Houston to come for photos and went back the same day. We “explored” all around and I listened to stories about the legend of zelda and heard about what their favorite books are. And we discovered that the lilly pads in our pond do not hold 7 year old little boys! Thank goodness I didn’t see this happen, I would have flipped out. I take turns taking each kid off to do their individuals, so after Liam’s (the 7 year old) individuals I brought him back to meet his mom and dad and took Jack with me. Well why doing Jack’s photos, Liam decides to test out the lilly pads himself because he couldn’t find a stick. Thank goodness the pond is shallow, his mom said “oh it’s okay if it wasn’t he knows how to swim”. She was happy he had already done his individual photos so he was done. I was warned that we may not get many group photos because Matthew would not want to sit still. She said he will probably try to go give you  hugs instead, and that’s exactly what he did!

This was them in the fall of 2010, I was happy I got to meet the new addition! Can’t wait to see the next year and a half 😉

So Seth’s dad called me to book  his session. He said “I know I waited late to call, but Seth does not want to take photos, he only wants a few with his ball jerseys”. I said that’s fine, I can get a few for him, it won’t take us long. Well he showed up […]

I said that’s fine, I can get a few for him, it won’t take us long. Well he showed up with a few shirts and said we don’t have to do all of them, what ever you think. So I told him we would do a few in each, well I think someone actually enjoyed his senior session. By the end he was coming up with ideas on his own and spotting locations he wanted to use. I photographed his sister for her senior session a few years ago, and I do believe he will have about as many photos to try to weed through. We got everything from super serious, to the smirk, to laughing, to him sticking his tongue out at me!

I took the end of the week off to have fun with my kids last week since they were out of school, but I’m back at it today. You guys will be getting calls or emails soon with links and password information to view your photos.

Katelyn is another senior at Lacassine, I’ve enjoyed working with her over the years when I photographed homecoming court. I also had the opportunity to photograph her brother’s senior portraits last year. I will miss not seeing her there next year when I go to Lacassine.

And he broke out a few supermodel poses too, and I warned him if I got it, it was going on the blog.
